Pita Bread


  • 1 Tbsp. yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


    Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix remaining ingredients in and knead for 8 to 10 minutes. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and cut into eighths. Roll each ball into a circle. Cover and let rise on greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes. Bake at 500 deg. for 8 minutes.
