Bread Pot Fondue

  • 1 round firm loaf of bread
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar (1/2lb)
  • 6-8 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup diced ham (opt.)
  • 1 can diced green chiles
  • Directions:

Slice the top off the bread. Scoop out the inside and set it aside. Combine cheeses, sour cream, ham and chilies. Pour into bread shell. Replace top and wrap entire loaf in foil. Heat in 350 deg. oven until heated all the way through (about 1 hr.). While fondue is heating, cube reserved bread. Coat with melted butter and toast for 8-10 minutes. Serve fondue with bread dippers and fresh vegetables. Go ahead and eat the pot! This is a favorite for Christmas eve dinner and Christmas parties at work.
