Text Box: “It’s snowing! It’s snowing! It’s snowing!!” The children yelled as they ran up the stairs to get their snow gear. Happy to have the day off the children spent most of Wednesday morning playing in the light snow. They enjoyed trying to catch snow on their tongues, and gathering snow from cars for snowballs! Though not thick, the weather was cold enough for the snow to stick around Thanksgiving morning also. The roof tops and trees were beautiful. Having snow definitely added to the festive feeling of the holiday! - Gina Wheeler
Text Box: Thanksgiving Dinner A Success!
Text Box: Bruce, Liz, Tom, and Gina slaved away in the kitchen for two days to prepare a feast that would be deemed worthy to eaten by the children. :)
Tom baked a beautiful and tasty turkey with homemade, whole wheat stuffing!
We found a store that sold fresh turkeys. It was the meatiest turkey we have ever had! We recommend fresh turkeys to everyone.
Gina, Liz and Bruce tackled all the pies. Two pumpkin, four sweet potato, two blueberry, and one cherry. A delicious whipped topping was contributed by Bruce. Also enjoyed were rolls, yams, and cranberry sauce from Liz and Bruce. And Gina made fruit salad with yogurt instead of cool whip this year.
The food was wonderful and the company even better. Our families have enjoyed being together and getting to know each other better. We have all felt truly blessed this Thanksgiving season! - Gina Wheeler

Leaves

Everyday I see leaves fly around

and flutter to the ground.

They sound so brittle and scratchy.
